Family Fun in Oahu, Kid Friendly Environment
Scuba Dive Hawaii
So you wanna go diving and have the kids? At Oahu Diving we know what you are looking for.
A baby sitter on the boat right ? Come on, we have kids too. No problem.
If we have space available we can look after your children on the boat
while you are diving.
There is an age limit from 5 years of age.
Children will be provided with life jackets that they must wear
throughout the tour. In between dives, say during our surface interval
we can motor over to some shallow areas and allow the kids the swim or
snorkel. Adult supervision is a must here. We do have a safety line with
a buoy attached for safety and ease of swimming pleasure.
Children from 10 years of age can actually go scuba diving with
us under the First Time Diver Program. Here, your child will be able
to do 2 scuba dives in 2 different locations under the direct
supervision of a scuba diving instructor. Of course we will
thoroughly go over diving procedures, equipment and how to conduct
yourself underwater. This is a great family fun adventure here in
Oahu. Since we take FREE digital pictures you will have lasting
memories forever. This experience is truly a blast and kids will
want to go diving again and again.
With dolphins usually in the area we can have a chance of actually turning our diving adventure into a dolphin watching tour. Of course we can not guarantee that dolphins will show up but there is a good chance we will see them. During the Hawaii humpback whale season which starts from December and goes through late May we will surely be able to see these gentle giants up close and personal. So remember, it's just scuba diving that we can do. The ocean is a playground of interesting things to see and do.
WARNING- Due to the over whelming fun kids will have, Oahu Diving and its staff will not be held accountable for any children asking their parents for expensive dive lessons, diving gear and scuba diving related vacations.
Oahu Diving will provide the following for children.
- Snorkel gear
- Lifejackets
- Drinks
- Supervision on the boat
The cost of this program is $45 per child. Please note that there are times when we will not be able to enter shallow areas for the ideal snorkeling adventures due to swells, waves and wind directions. Boating in Hawaii is a great time. Please note that people on occasions do get sea sickness. Preparing before the Oahu boating adventure is a great idea. Here are some good ideas are.
- Don't eat heavy greasy foods such as fast food before you go
- Eat high energy foods such as yogurt, fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Don't bring junk foods with you.
- Bring a favorite no so sugary drink with you. We do have drinks too but you my want your own special drink.
- Don't move around so fast on the boat, limiting sharp or fast head movements.
- Don't look down while on the boat
- Don't read a newspaper (don't know why anyone would but what the heck)
- Daddy and Mommy, don't have a hangover.
